Opportunity Details | CultivAction Urban Farming Senneville Farm Volunteer Session
Opportunity Name:
CultivAction Urban Farming Senneville Farm Volunteer Session |
|
Description:
This Guided Hands on Learning Experience is a an opportunity for community members to learn and practice fundamental urban agriculture skills. We will hold semi-structured training sessions and provide immediate opportunities for people to participate in the day-to-day tasks of an urban farm. This meaningful exchange of knowledge and sweat equity is a mutually beneficial way to make the community more food-secure and sovereign! The farm does not have an exact address (other than the general Morgan Family farms address) which can make it tricky to find the first time you go there. The instructions below (from Santropol Roulant, a neighbouring farm) will help you find your way. You can travel for free by the taxi collective, from MacDonald terminus or Ste-Anne train station to Senneville / No 265 (SNV-119) by calling (514) 636-6666.
NOTES: Please wear or bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and enough water for yourself. There is a porta potty at the Senneville farm and NO access to potable water. In case of bad weather the volunteer session will be cancelled.
